Stretch out on this broad mile-long strip of white sand beach and enjoy superb picture postcard views of the Channnel Islands. This community is nestled between the picturesque marina, huge sand beach, and sparkling blue Pacific with beachfront homes, detached off the beach homes, townhouses and condos. Early in the Golden age of Hollywood, the beautiful sand dunes which were much more extensive, were used to create the Arabian Desert location set for such 1920's silent movie classics as The Sheik and its sequel, Son of the Sheik. This area was once home and a getaway haven for Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Clark Gable and Carlo Lombard, among others seeking a place of peace and a sense of serenity away from the light, camera and action of their other Hollywood.
